Scarlett Stair and Rail was established in 2004 offering premium quality work at affordable prices.  Our principle focus is on rail work of the 19th Century called Tangent Rail making.  Easy on the hand, extraordinarily functional hand railing that maintains a normal height above the stair and gracefully inclines and twists through space. 

Tangent Railings, sometimes stair work itself, can confound even the most skilled woodworkers.  We use tried and true methods, many handed down since the 1700's, to solve any and all handrail problems.  All our work is masterfully crafted by hand, in our shop, in any wood, in any profile.  From historical restorations to remodeling to new applications.
